Experiments?
In addition to being an ego trip, these pages are an experimental testbed I'm using to learn how HTML and various browsers interact. People actually pay me for this sort of thing, so I like to be able to give them the best pages possible. I can run only so many browsers on my Mac, so I stick all my experiments here so I can look at them with all sorts of browsers on all sorts of machines.
I do try, however, not to let the look of my pages suffer too much at the expense of experimentation. I will never have a page that looks like a mail-order computer store's page.
